Mothers Day
Today is Mother’s Day, and I have a few thoughts, but first I want to get caught up as I have been remiss in posting lately and I have no good excuse for it, just lazy. So I’m going to recommit to staying current with my posting about myy journey.
I have a had a few episodes or events that gave me pause for a moment, but really just insignificant in the big scheme of things. Trying to remember the name of someone I met an hour earlier or asking my self what I was doing or looking for when I got to a room in the house. But as time goes on I have come to realize, many folks my age and even younger do the same things. But as I say that, I also must recognize that I have forgotten several of the incidents I’m pretty sure I wanted to talk about. So there’s that.
Couple of last things then I’ll get to Mothers Day. I have started back on a daily dose of Prevagen and I believe it is helping me with concentration, for example in golf I feel like I am focusing better and I also feel like some things are coming quicker to me when trying to figure out how to do something on my car or in the yard and so forth. I also took my second quarter Alzheimer’s Association Cognizance test and my results in fact improved so I’m very happy about that. I have also volunteered for another study that will get into genetics and trials of medications if warranted so more to follow there.
Now for Mothers Day. Mom is doing well if you accept that living in a full time care facility and being in the depths of the disease well. Mothers Day was never a holiday that was close to my hart, It has always been the kind of thing I just wanted to do something nice for mom, Didn’t ever plan anything till a couple days before and more often then not the day of I would go to the supermarket, get some flowers and a card so I could check the box. Not sure why that is other that being lazy, because I know how much my mom has always meant to me. So that’s all I have, Happy Moms Day to all the moms, mine, and to both my sisters, my aunt, my daughter-in-law an especially my wife.
